2007 Ford Mustang Radiator Parts Q&A

  • Q: How to service the radiator on 2007 Ford Mustang?
A: Service of the radiator begins with draining the cooling system fluid. The service of the radiator begins with lower radiator air deflector removal and subsequent detachment of six pushpin retainers leading to removal of the air deflector. To start remove the cooling fan motor followed by the shroud. Position the removed hoses of degas bottle-to-radiator and upper and lower radiator while disconnecting them from their mounts. The radiator support brackets must have their four bolts removed before reinstallation where the bolts need to be tightened to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.). Start by disconnecting the two power steering tubes and A/C condenser retaining nuts but keep the power steering tubes aside while tightening both nuts to 8 Nm (71 inch lbs.) for reinstallation. Secure the two A/C condenser bolts at 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.) and restore them during reinstallation. Render the two bolts that secure the transmission cooler and set it aside while tightening these bolts to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.) when reinstalling. To conclude the installation replace the radiator while following the removal steps from beginning to end before properly filling and bleeding the cooling system.
