2008 Lincoln Navigator Camshaft Position Sensor Parts Q&A

  • Q: How to Service the LH Camshaft Position Sensor on 2008 Lincoln Navigator?
A: Service of the left-hand camshaft position (CMP) sensor begins by taking off the air cleaner outlet pipe. After disconnecting the CMP sensor electrical connector you must remove the bolt which secures the sensor. Tighten the bolt at 10 Nm (89 lb-in) during new sensor installation while you should apply engine oil to the O-ring seal before putting it into position. Finish the installation by reversing all steps of removal.
