How to Service and Repair the Rear Motor and Transmission Mount on 2008 Mercury Mariner?

The first step for servicing or repairing the transaxle rear support insulator must start by lifting the vehicle onto a hoist while keeping the transmission in a neutral position. To begin the transaxle rear support insulator servicing start by removing the bolt that needs tightening to 80 Nm (59 lb-ft) using installation torque. The two nuts connecting the transaxle rear support insulator need removal before installing them with torques of 80 Nm (59 lb-ft). The through-bolt and washer of the transaxle rear support insulator should be removed before installation so they can later be secured with a torque of 115 Nm (85 lb-ft). The three bolts securing the transaxle rear support insulator together with the bracket must be removed for replacement before tightening each of them to 48 Nm (35 lb-ft). The completion of this procedure requires performing the reverse installation process.
