How to service the blower motor resistor located at the front on Ford Explorer?

Service of the front-mounted blower motor resistor starts with removing two screws from the 4x4 control module. The first step requires disconnecting the electrical connector that is attached to the blower motor resistor. You must first detach the blower motor resistor by taking out its two mounting screws before removing the resistor. Follow the exact opposite procedures used during uninstallation to finish the installation.

How to service the blower motor resistor on Ford Mustang?

The blower motor resistor can be reached underneath the right side of the instrument panel to perform service tasks. You should disconnect the electrical connector from the blower motor resistor as your first step. The blower motor resistor requires removal of its two securing screws before proceeding. Remove the blower motor resistor after removing its screws. The process to install the new resistor requires the exact opposite steps used for removal.
