To replace the heater control valve on 4.0L engine vehicles without auxiliary climate control, hoist the vehicle in neutral, drain the coolant, disconnect hoses and vacuum hose, remove the valve, lubricate the hoses where necessary and then reverse the action to install and refill the cooling system.
