Press a continuous length of silicone sealant onto the differential housing cover before installing it within 15 minutes of application but renewal of surfaces along with new silicone application is necessary for any longer delays. Wet cure time for silicone sealant needs to reach one hour mark before adding lubricant to the system. Position and install the differential housing cover on the rear axle before fixing it with 10 bolts that require a torque species of 45 Nm (33ft. lbs.). You must add 118 ml (4 oz) friction modifier into Traction-Lok axles before putting rear axle lubricant and installing the filler plug that requires 30 Nm (22 ft. lbs.) torque.
