How to Service the Fog Light Bulb on Ford Escape?

Start the procedure of servicing fog lamp bulbs on the Mariner and Escape by turning the headlamp and ignition switches OFF. The vehicle demands neutral gear when users position it on a hoist. To work on the fender splash shield of the Escape you need to start by tightening the bolts to 5 Nm (44 lb-in) before you detach them then remove the four pin-type retainers to put the shield to the side. Disconnect the fog lamp electrical connector and use finger pressure to separate both tabs on the fog lamp bulb in order to remove it. The fog lamp bulb removal for the Mariner requires counterclockwise rotation by one-eighth of a turn before disconnecting the electrical connector. Follow the same removal steps to install the new bulb while gripping the base only to prevent injury then avoid turning on the fog lamps with the bulb out to protect performance.
