How Should the Fog Light Bulb Be Handled and Replaced to Ensure Safety and Performance on Ford Escape?

The halogen fog lamp bulb is pressurized, and can break if handled carelessly. Touch it on the bottom, not the glass. Never pull off the bulb until a new one is installed so as to avoid contamination. To install it, take off the wheel, inner fender well and lamp socket and follow the reverse order to install.

How to Service the Fog Light Bulb on Ford Escape?

When replacing the bulb of the fog lamp on the Mariner and the Escape, the ignition switches and the headlamp are turned off. In the case of the Escape, undo the fender splash shield bolts and the retainers, unconnection of the connector to the fog lamp and the removal of the bulb. To the Mariner, turn the bulb counter clockwise. Installation is reversed.
