How to service and repair the turn signal switch on Ford Expedition?

The first step to repair the turn signal switch needs drivers to remove the steering wheel. To expose the second screw release the tilt handle while it descends and remove both lower steering column shrouds together with their installed screws. Before removing the upper steering column shroud it is necessary to remove the screw located behind the multifunction switch. Apply proper tooling to remove the bolt followed by the push of the release mechanism and subsequent switch elevation. A tiny screwdriver helps bend down the connector release tab of connector number 2 before following the directed sequence for disconnecting connectors. Finally, remove the multifunction switch. The installation of the new switch requires an opposite sequence to removal.
