How to service the knock sensor (KS) on Ford Explorer?

The knock sensor service starts with removing the intake manifold. The first step involves disconnecting the KS electrical connector along with unbolted removal of the KS from its position. During new KS installation you must tighten it to 20 Nm (15 lb-ft) before following the reverse removal steps for completion.
