How to service and repair the lower control arm on Ford Fusion?

The spring needs removal before beginning lower control arm service and repair work. All suspension fasteners carry essential importance in system performance since their breakdown results in expensive service costs. To replace parts use the identical part number because using inferior parts is forbidden. You should follow torque specifications throughout the reassembly process to ensure retaining strength. Continuation of repairs starts with disposing of the cam adjuster nut where it will be followed by removal of the cam adjuster and cam bolt and lower arm. The installation requires fastener tightening at 101 Nm (74 ft. lbs.) while maintaining the bushing fastener tightening position of the suspension. The suspension must be lifted with proper jacking until the hub center measures exactly 395 mm (15.55 inches) from the fender lip before beginning any fastener tightening on suspension bushings. To complete the installation just reverse the procedure from removal.
