How to Service the MAP Sensor on a 2.3L Engine on Ford Ranger?

You must disconnect the electrical connector from the MAP sensor of a 2.3L engine before starting the service work. The first step entails unscrewing the bolt which maintains the MAP sensor position before lifting it from the intake manifold while getting rid of its original O-ring seal. The install process requires the opposite of removal steps along with a fresh O-ring seal.

How to service the MAP Sensor on Ford Fusion?

Service of the Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor begins with disconnecting its electrical connector. The sensor requires release of its bolt before extraction of the MAP sensor from the system. After installing the new sensor keep the bolt tight at 6 Nm while following the specifications of 53 lb-in. Relocate and secure the sensor by using the additional bolt hole found in the intake manifold when the installation bolt does not reach the specified torque. A complete inspection must take place on the sealing surface as part of the installation procedure reversal.
