How to service the MAP Sensor on Ford Ranger?

Service of the manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor requires users to start by disconnecting the battery ground cable. The MAP sensor electrical connector needs detachment before proceeding. The bolt that secures the MAP sensor should be removed before lifting it from the intake manifold. Perform the opposite steps to install either a new sensor or one that has been repaired.

How to service the MAP Sensor on Ford Fusion?

Start the servicing process of the manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor by removing the battery ground cable followed by disconnecting the MAP sensor electrical connector. The screw holding the MAP sensor needs removal before extracting the sensor from its place. During new sensor installation users must tighten it to 3 Nm torque value (27 lb-in). Clean engine oil should be used to lubricate the O-ring seal on the MAP sensor prior to conducting the installation step of the removal process.
