How to service and repair the Parking Assist Sensor on Ford Expedition?

The first step to fix or service the parking assist distance sensor requires complete removal of the rear bumper cover. The ultrasonic sensor requires two steps for detachment which include disconnecting its electrical connector while releasing the locking tabs. The radar sensor service procedure begins by taking away the foam absorber from the bumper cover before detaching the sensor through fastener removal and electrical connector deconnection. Follow the reverse order as used during removal to put in position the sensors. A proper check for function requires completing Park Aid Calibration together with Self-Test Diagnostics following installation.

How to service the Parking Assist Sensor on Ford Explorer?

The city laundry procedure for servicing a parking assist distance sensor starts by removing the rear bumper. The removal process starts with disconnecting the electrical connector that controls the parking aid sensor functionality. You must press the retaining tabs to take out the parking aid sensor. The sensor installation process should start by performing the reverse steps from the removal process.
