How to service and repair the flywheel ring gear on Ford Ranger?

In order to service the flywheel ring gear, take off the transmission, clutch parts and flywheel. Do not use heat crayons to heat the gear to more than 278°C (500°F). Delicately take out and fit the gear with bevel facing the back and reassemble. You must always wear safety gear when working with hot parts.
