How to service and repair the brake vacuum pump on Ford E-150?

The first step when repairing the brake vacuum pump requires removal of the accessory drive belt. Cut off power to the vacuum pump by releasing both clamp mechanisms and vacuum hose. A short socket combined with an extension allow people to reach the bolt which is behind the pulley. Remove the three securing bolts from the vacuum pump and proceed to uninstall it. The bolt tightening torque should be set to 47 Nm (35 lb-ft) and the same installation order should be used to finish the work.
