Start the idler arm service by removing its castle nut and then removing the cotter pin and then the nut and washer. Detach the steering sector shaft arm drag link followed by removing the steering idler arm and bracket by uninstalling bolts together with washers and nuts. Perform the installation after aligning the idler arm to run straight ahead directly next to the vehicle centerline. The installation requires users to fasten the nuts and washers along with bolts to achieve security. First slide the steering sector shaft arm drag link onto the steering idler arm and bracket and afterwards tighten the castle nut with one washer. Controlled vehicle descent should take place after installing the new cotter pin.
