How to Service the Crankshaft Seal on Lincoln Town Car?

In order to service the crankshaft main bearing seal, make sure that the vehicle is in neutral position on a hoist. Take out the flex plate and then remove the crankshaft oil slinger and rear seal with the proper tools. Put engine oil in the inner lip of the new seal, install the seal and then reinstall the flex plate.

How to service the front crankshaft seal on Lincoln Town Car?

In order to service the front crankshaft seal, first loosen the crankshaft pulley and then take the Front cover seal out with the Front cover Seal Remover. Apply SAE 5W-30 Motor Oil to the front cover of the engine and to the inner lip of the oil seal. Next, put in the crankshaft front seal and put the pulley back in.
