In order to service the front door exterior handle, take off the trim panel and watershield. Unscrew the grommet, without quite removing it. Next, remove the lock cylinder bezel and push the handle and gaskets away. In order to install, reverse the steps.

How to Service and Repair the Front Door Handle on Ford Mustang?

To repair the front door exterior handle, raise the window, remove the door trim panel, and the door lock cylinder if present. Disconnect the actuating rod, remove the handle studs, and slide the handle out. Install the new handle, tighten the studs, reconnect the rod, and reinstall the trim panel.
