In installing the Drain Plug, get the engine cool then park in level ground with parking brake and slide a catch pan under the drain port. Wipe the mating surface, insert a new washer when necessary and then begin the Drain Plug by hand to align threads. Seat, tighten to spec, wipe oil, refill, run engine briefly then confirm that there are no leaks. Once it has been driven a little, look in and re tighten only when there is a drop.
