Service and repair operations for the windshield washer pump and reservoir start with a hood support while the battery along with the tray requires removal of its four bolts until the bolts reach a torque of 28 Nm (21 lb-ft) before reinstallation. You must first obtain the windshield washer fluid in a holding container before disconnecting the washer hose. The washer pump and reservoir removal starts with loosening the nut to 4 Nm (35 lb-in) for installation then moving to the bolt removal at 4 Nm (35 lb-in) tightening upon reinstallation. First disconnect the filler hose and electrical connector before separating the washer pump from the reservoir and the wiring harness locator followed by disconnection of the windshield washer hose. To install the washer pump into the reservoir complete the opposite steps of removal.
