In order to service the coolant reservoir, the engine must be cooled before opening the system. De-gas to ease the pressure, turn the cap counterclockwise and then take it off. Squeeze the hose, coolant, remove hoses and take out the degas bottle. Installation can be reinstalled by repeating the process, and filling it with the recommended coolant mixture.

How to service the coolant reservoir on Mercury Grand Marquis?

To service the coolant reservoir, drain coolant from the degas bottle, then remove the supply and overflow hoses. Next, take out the bolt securing the degas bottle. Replace hose clamps with appropriately sized worm style clamps. Finally, reverse the removal procedure to complete the installation.
