To replace the brake backing plate, take off rear wheel cylinder and jounce hose bracket bolt (tighten to 17 Nm during reconnection). Next, remove the backing plate and pull the parking brake cable through the backing plate, remove the rear wheel hub and the backing plate bolts (tighten to 85 Nm during installation). Installation is reversed.
