In order to service and repair the Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS), put the vehicle on a hoist with the transmission in neutral. Reach the VSS and its electrical connector by means of the top of the transaxle and remove the VSS bolt. Dislodge the connector, and strip off the VSS. Installation is just a matter of reversing the process of removal.
