A: The rear Brake Shoes, Axle Shaft, and parking brake cable will have to be removed in order to service the brake backing plate. Disconnect the rear Wheel Cylinder, remove the brake line. Next remove the backing plate. To install, the steps should be reversed and the brake system bled later.
