How should the idler arm be installed to the drag link on Ford Crown Victoria?

Install the idler arm straight in front of the line and at right angles to the center of the vehicle. Connect the idler arm and the bracket, bolts, washers and nuts. Install the drag link on the idler arm, then the washer, nut and new cotter pin and then lower the vehicle.
