You should begin service and repair operations on the windshield washer pump by disconnecting the hose and draining the reservoir liquid first so fluid doesn't leak. The engine coolant overflow reservoir requires the disconnecting of its coolant overflow hose and plugging its outlet port. To access the windshield washer reservoir pump you should disconnect its electrical connector followed by detaching the washer reservoir pump connector and set the air filter housing off to the side. Remove the windshield washer reservoir while disconnecting its two screws and two nuts. Then carefully extract the washer pump from the reservoir without harming the rubber grommet. The installation requires following all removal steps in reverse order but the windshield washer reservoir and washer pump maintain individual service procedures.
