How to service and repair the alternator on Lincoln Navigator?

Disconnect battery. Navigator: unscrew retainers on the engines; pull off the engine cover and air cleaner inlet tube. Turn tensioner anti clockwise, put belt aside. Install 10 Nm/89 lb-in. Remove harness locator and generator bracket (4 bolts; reinstall 10 Nm/89 lb-in). Unbolt generators (25 Nm/18 lb-ft). Disconnect connector, nut (8 Nm/71 lb-in) B +. Take off generator; install upside down.

How to Address Issues with the Alternator in a Lincoln Town Car?

In order to service the alternator, disconnect battery, screws on engine cover, loosen intake resonator clamp. Disassemble the accessory drive belt, unplug the electrical connectors, unbolt the generator bracket. Lastly, loosen and take out the generator. To install: reverse these steps.
