How to Service and Repair the Fuel Tank Fuel Pump Module on Lincoln Town Car?

Connectors that lead to the pressure transducer should get disconnected from the top rear tank corner with subsequent cleaning of the area surrounding the fuel pump flange for mounting. Treat the fuel pump carefully to maintain the float arm and filter integrity before removing the bolts which lead to the fuel pump module removal and discard of the fuel pump mounting gasket. The first step for installation requires cleaning both surfaces of the fuel pump mounting flange and fuel tank while applying a new fuel pump mounting gasket to the flange surface. The installation process requires you to use a star pattern for bolt tightening then place the fuel pump into the fuel tank followed by bolt installation. The final step involves connecting the pressure transducer connector before reinstalling the tank.
