The service begins by disconnecting the MAF electrical connector then removing its securing bolt from the air filter box assembly before final tightening at 4 Nm (35 lb-in). The user needs to remove the air filter box assembly to work on the air filter element and can free the snaps to split the air filter box cover from the air filter box tray during servicing operations. Reinstallation requires following the reverse order of removal steps with proper alignment of the air filter box cover to the air filter box tray by using alignment tabs if the cover was removed.
