How to Service and Repair a Cam Gear/Sprocket for RH on Ford F-150?

To fix the camshaft gear, place crankshaft damper at 12 o'clock position, take off the RH valve cover, and disconnect the CMP sensor. Take out camshaft followers, a Timing Chain Locking Tool, and mark timing chain. Install camshaft phaser, reconnect CMP sensor and tighten bolts. lastly, replace the valve cover.

How to Remove and Replace the Cam Gear on Ford Fusion?

In order to change the camshaft, make sure the vehicle is in neutral and on a hoist. Eliminate accessory drive belt, VCT solenoid and check valve clearance. Install the camshaft alignment plate, place the No. 1 piston at TDC, and proceed to remove and install the camshaft and assure desired torque values.
