How to remove and install the Neutral Safety Switch on a Ford Excursion?

Disconnect the cable(s) from the negative battery terminal(s). Pull the switch knob straight off. Using a small screwdriver, carefully pry out the switch plate. Unplug the electrical connector from the backside of the switch, and remove the mounting screws and switch. Installation is the reverse of removal.
