How to service and repair the rear door power window motor on Ford Focus?

The repair process starts by taking out the door trim panel followed by the side impact bolster and door speaker when present and disconnecting the electrical connector from the speaker. You need to use the plastic knife to cut through the Butyl strip while keeping away from the adhesive surface when you detach the door latch release handle along with the watershield. Connect the electrical connector from the window operating switch before aligning the regulator clamp with the access hole. Disconnect the window glass from the clamp regulator by pushing out its pin and sleeve before taking out the glass. Adhere window glass in place through using proper hooks that maintain enough support at the top edge of the opening. First disconnect both the electrical connector for the window operating switch then the electrical connector for the motor after which remove the motor assembly and window regulator by unscrewing all fasteners. The setup process begins with proper positioning of both components after which you should reinstall screws before connecting the motor electrical connector followed by the window operating switch electrical connector. Use hooks to maintain glass support before you line up the regulator clamp with the hole and then push the pin through the sleeve to join glass to the clamp until the pin fully engages. First disconnect the electrical connector of the window operating switch then reinstall the watershield, door latch release handle and speaker electrical connector before installing the door speaker, side impact bolster and finishing with the door trim panel.

How to Service and Install a Window Motor and Window Regulator on Ford Mustang?

The first step for servicing the front door window motor involves taking out the door window glass. First disconnect the electrical connector from the door window motor then remove the three nuts before placing new nuts on the motor while torquing them to 10 Nm (89 lb-in). No force should be applied to the jack screw during lower right window regulator nut removal due to its potential impact on window function. The service of front door window motors starts with removing four nuts that secure the door window regulator then reinstalling new ones with a torque of 10 Nm (89 lb-in). The door window regulator and motor must be extracted carefully through the rear access opening of the vehicle. Reversing the steps of removal will finish the installation along with proper adjustment of the door window glass and the window motor initialization process.
