How to remove and install the brake light switch assembly on 2000-2011 Ford Ranger?

Before removing the brake light switch assembly take off the under dash panel. Then in the passenger compartment, in the area close or on the top of the brake pedal, remove the clip and pull out the brake light switch and push rod of the booster. With the use of a small screwdriver remove the lock washer on the electrical connector and pull out the tab on the brake light switch then release the clip. Finally, the switch fits back into the electrical connector, the assembly back to the brake pedal and the under dash panel is also replaced. Last but not the least, check for brake light if they are working as required.

Before removing the brake light switch assembly take off the under dash panel. Then in the passenger compartment, in the area close or on the top of the brake pedal, remove the clip and pull out the brake light switch and push rod of the booster. With the use of a small screwdriver remove the lock washer on the electrical connector and pull out the tab on the brake light switch then release the clip. Finally, the switch fits back into the electrical connector, the assembly back to the brake pedal and the under dash panel is also replaced. Last but not the least, check for brake light if they are working as required.
