How to remove and install the Oil Pressure Switch in 2.3L and 2.0L engine on Ford Focus?

Located on the front of the cylinder block is the oil filter housing, the switch is then screwed so as to be removed from it together with the oil pressure sending unit. First of all, remove the negative terminal of the battery. If required, lift the front of the vehicle and support it on axle stands in a manner that provides a clear and easy access to the switch. Subsequently, remove the wiring connector and undo the Oil Pressure Switch by pulling gently and be ready to encounter some loss of oil. For installation, reverse the removal process while noting to apply a small amount of pipe sealant (Teflon type) to the switch threads and install it securely. After installation, check the engine oil level and top it off as necessary, then verify the correct operation of the oil warning light and inspect for signs of oil leaks once the engine has been started and fully warmed up.
