How to service the Knock Sensor (KS) on the 4.0L SOHC engine on Ford Mustang?

Service Knock Sensor: 4.0L SOHC engine Knock Sensor: To service the Knock Sensor, take off the intake manifold and strip off the electrical connector, as well as, strip off the securing bolt. Install the new sensor and ensure it is tightened to 20 Nm (177 lb-in) and revert the procedures to unscrew it to finish the installation.

How to service the knock sensor (KS) on Ford Ranger?

In order to maintain the knock sensor (KS) it is important to first disconnect the battery ground cable. Lift and suspend the vehicle, disconnected KS electrical connector and the bolt that holds KS in position followed by removing the sensor. To install, just revert the process followed in the removal.
