In order to service the throttle cable, unattach the accelerator cable of the throttle body and the bracket with a trim tool. Unplug it off the retaining clip, take the hush panel out and unscrew the bolts. To install, reverse the instructions and check locking tabs of the cable; change in case of damage.

How to service and repair the throttle cable on Lincoln Town Car?

In order to service the throttle cable, remove throttle control spring and the engine cover in the front. Disconnect the throttle body and bracket to the accelerator cable and then put the throttle body assembly back. Take out the cable retainer and run the cable through the dash panel. To install, undo the steps made in removal.
