In order to replace the shock absorber and spring assembly of the front suspension, the wheel and the tire have to be removed and the nuts of the stabilizer bar connection have to be discarded. Unscrew the spring and shock absorber with a spring compressor. Take the shock absorber and other related parts out and take the reverse of putting it in.

How to service and repair the front shock absorber on Ford Mustang?

Raise the vehicle, remove the wheel, brake disc and ABS sensor to service the front shock absorber. Hold the lower arm, disconnect the shock absorber and then lower the arm. Take off the top mount and take out the shock absorber. Installation: Retrace the steps with new parts and correct values of torque.
