How to service and repair the thermostat on Ford Mustang?

In order to fix the thermostat, empty the coolant, unconnect the upper radiator hose, and detach the thermostat housing. Check the water outlet, surfaces and place new thermostat with adhesive-coated gasket. Lastly, undo the steps of removal, and refill the cooling system.

How to service the thermostat on a 3.0L (2V) engine on Ford Ranger?

To service a thermostat on a 3.0L (2V) engine, empty the cooling system, take out of the air cleaner outlet tube and disconnect the upper radiator hose. Unplug thermostat housing and thermostat and affix the new thermostat by screwing bolts to a tightening of 25 Nm. Wipe down the surfaces and get rid of the old gasket prior to reassembly.
