How to service and repair the steering shaft on Ford Ranger?

In order to service steering shaft, raise the vehicle in the neutral position. Disconnect- Use protective devices to prevent the rotation of the steering column shaft. Take out, drop and replace bolts, collapse shafts and install with designated torque: 55 Nm on lower connections and 27 Nm on upper. Undo undo to accomplish the process.

How to service and repair the lower steering shaft on Ford Mustang?

In order to re-connect the lower steering column shaft, make sure that the vehicle is on a hoist in neutral. Take off and re-fit bolts to join the shafts and tighten to 25 Nm. Take off dash boot bearing nuts, screw tight to 9 Nm and unscrew the coupling. Invert the process without rotating in order to avoid damaging the clock spring.
