How to service the side Air Bag Sensor on Ford Explorer?

When servicing the side crash sensor, the sensor should be oriented correctly. After collision, examine sensor and wiring, and repair when necessary. Before repairs, disconnect the battery. Disconnect connector and bolts to remove sensor. Install in reverse, being careful of correct torque. Diagnostic tool should be used to service only.
